"Players start the game with two family members living in a two-room wooden hut. In each round, each member of their family may choose one action.
If they collect wood and reed, they can extend their hut and then add to their family. Family growth allows additional actions, but has the disadvantage that more food must be produced. And to get food, the players plow fields and plant seeds. The planted grain and vegetables are harvested during the Harvest, when animals breed as well. To raise animals, pastures must be fenced to allow sheep, wild boar and cattle to gaze. Occupations orImprovements can ensure a family's upkeep. Each of these cards allows the player a small adavantage in the game. Victory Points are earned when players renovate their wooden hut to a clay hut and later even a stone house. But everything else to do with balancing food requirements or making every day life a little more comfortable can earn Victory Points - especially Family growth. Each game uses a different group of 166 different Occupation cards and 146 different Improvements, ensuring that no two games are exactly a like. Additional rules for a Solo game and a shortened Family game ensure appropriate challenges for each gaming table." |
Carcassone Hunters and Gatherers

"More than a thousand years before the great city of CARCASONNE was built, the area was settled by stone-age tribes. These people hunted wild animals, gathered nuts and berries, and caught fish in the nearby streams to provide themselves with the basics. Even today, there remain fantastic cave paintings and archeological finds that provide evidence of their existence and give us an understanding of their lives.
As with CARCASSONNE, the game of the year in Germany in 2001, the players play land tiles to create a beautiful landscape, with scattered wild animals like mammoths and sabre-toothed tigers. They populate the lanscape with hunters and gatherers and build huts to live in. Rivers, filled with fish, snake through the lanscape. The game also includes rare, but very useful special cards. There are many new things to discover in the pre-historic CARCASSONNE... CARCASOSONNE, HUNTERS AND GATHERERS is brand new, but retains the challenge, fun, and exitement of the original CARCASSONNE. Players who know CARCASSONNE will piclk up this new game quickly. Others will learn it as quickly as players learned and loved the original." |

"You are a monarch, like your parents before you, a ruler of a small pleasant kingdom of rivers and evergreens. Unlike your parents, however, you have hopes and dreams! You want a bigger and more pleasant kingdom, with more rivers and a wider variety of trees. You want a Dominion!
In all directions lie fiefs, freeholds, and feodums. All are small bits of land, controlled by petty lords and verging on anarchy. You will bring civilization to these people, uniting them under your banner. But wait! It must be something in the air; several other monarchs have had the exact same idea. You must race to get as much of the unclaimed land as possible, fending them off along the way. To do this you will hire minions, construct buildings, spruce up your castle, and fill the coffers of your treasury. Your parents wouldn't be too proud, but your grandparents, on your mother's side, would be delighted." |

"There are strange things going on in your basement laboratories. The keep calling up for more barrels of quiksilver, or bits of your hair. Well it's all in ht ename of progress. They're looking for a way to turn lead into gold, or at least into something better than lead. That lead had just been too good of a bargain to pass up; you didn't think, where will I put all this lead, what am I going to do with this lead anyway. Well that will all be sorted out. They're also looking for a universal solvent. If they manage that one, you will take whatever they use to hold it in and build a castle out of it. A castle that can't be disolved! Now that's progress.
This is the 3rd addition to Dominion. It adds 12 new Kingdom cards to Dominion, plus a new resource: Potions. Dominion: Alchemy is an expansion, and can't be played by itself; to play with it, you need Dominion, or a standalone expansion to Dominion (Dominion: Intrigue). Those provide the Basic cards you need to play(Treasure, Victory, and Curse cards), as well as the full rules for setup and gameplay. Dominion: Alchemy can also be combined with any other Dominion expansions you have." |
Dominion Seaside

"All you ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by. And someone who knows how to steer ships using stars. You finally got some of those rivers you'd wanted, and they led to the sea. These are dangerous, pirate-infested waters, and you cautiously send rat-infested ships across them, to establish lucrative trade at far-off merchant-infested ports. First, you will take over some islands, as a foothold. The natives seem friendly enough, crying their peace cries, and giving you spears and poison darts before you are even close enough to accept them properly. When you finally reach those ports you will conquer them, and from there you will look for more rivers.
One day, all the rivers will be yours. This is the 2nd addition to Dominion. It adds 26 new Kingdom cards to Dominion. Its central theme is your next turn; there are cards that do something this turn and next, cards that set up your next turn, and other ways to step outside of the bounds of a normal turn. Dominion: Seaside is an expansion to both Dominion and Dominion: Intrigue. As such, it does not contain material for a complete game. Specifically, it does not include the Treasure, Victory, Curse, or Trash cards. Thus, you will need either the base game or Intrigue to play with this expansion and have experience playing Dominion with either of the first two games. It is designed to work with either or both of these sets, and any future expansions that may be published. We hope you enjoy this expanding world of Dominion!" |

Earning money with electric power? Earning lots of money with electric power? A very good idea!!! Should I use coal or oil to generate power in the old-fashioned or will there be a shortage of those resources in the future? Will water be a future in burning garbage? Certainly nuclear power is very exciting and as long as the government will manage the nuclear waste, there will be a lot of profit. Of course, you can use more ecological friendly power and be independent of resoursces,. But will such power plants be powerful enough for the customers in the future? Naturally, you must watch your competitors to see what plants they build, which cities they have in their net, what resources they depend on, and what new power plants they find interesting. A strategy game of planning with surges of energy." |
